People who eat fruit as part of an overall healthy diet generally stay away from heart diseases as fruits are the complete pack of antioxidants and phytonutrients. They provide nutrients vital for health and maintenance of your body. Most fruits are naturally low in fat, sodium, and calories. None have cholesterol. They are sources of many essential nutrients including potassium, dietary fiber, vitamin C, and folate (folic acid).

But following the GM diet or mono-diets which basically rely on fruits and veggies are not healthy for neither to weight loss or in metablic diseases, as fruits are not a complete source of all the macro & micro nutrients. Many people eat only fruits as a breakfast or in dinner, but as per a nutristionist advice I won’t perfer a fruit diet to lose weight or maintain the blood reports. Being in a fruit diet will help you lose weight but in short term with a lot of nutrients devoid you may even start losing your muscle mass too.

 

So as per the Food pyramid, for a general balance diet there are servings for all the food groups and the diet should alway consider the serving size of food groups to get into a healthy full of nutrient rich lifestyle. The diet should include much of fibre and antioxidants so as to make you feel stress-less and also make you feel full for long time.
